6.7. System of additional air supply

GENERAL INFORMATION

The electric pump forces air in a final collector under certain conditions of operation of the engine. It improves combustion of hydrocarbons and increases temperature of exhaust gases. Therefore the catalytic converter gets warm up to the necessary temperature quicker.
