5.2. Models with fuel injection

GENERAL INFORMATION

MULTEC TSVT

Single-point system of injection of Multec (TsVT) fuel – model C 14 NZ, C 16 NZ and X 16 SZ

1 – an electronic control unit (on the right wall of salon under a guard of devices);
2 – the sensor of absolute pressure in an inlet collector;
3 – fuel injector;
4 – sensor of provision of a butterfly valve;
5 – the valve of system of recirculation of exhaust gases (only models with the 1,6 l engine);
6 – the cap regulating fuel octane number;
7 – ignition coil;
8 – ignition distributor;
9 – oxygen sensor;
10 – diaphragm of system of idling

The system of injection of fuel is controlled by a control system of operation of the Multec engine.

Fuel arrives from the fuel tank located behind on the Multec fuel injection block. The regulator of pressure supports the constant pressure of fuel on a fuel injector. Surplus of fuel comes back via the regulator to the fuel tank.

The block of injection of fuel includes a butterfly valve, a diaphragm of system of idling, a potentiometer of a butterfly valve, an injector of fuel and the regulator of pressure.

Duration of the electric impulse given on an injector defines amount of injectable fuel. Duration of an impulse is defined by an electronic control unit on the basis of information obtained from various sensors and valves (see rice. Single-point system of injection of Multec (TsVT) fuel – model C 14 NZ, C 16 NZ and X 16 SZ).

The installed catalytic converter serves for decrease in toxicity of exhausts.

MULTEC OF MW

Multipoint system of injection of Multec (MW) fuel – model C 14 SE

1 – an electronic control unit (on the right wall of salon under a guard of devices);

The system of injection of fuel is controlled by a control system of operation of the Multec engine.

Fuel comes from the fuel tank located behind via the fuel filter and the regulator of pressure to a fuel collector. Surplus of fuel comes back via the regulator to the fuel tank.

The fuel collector serves as the tank for four injectors of fuel. Fuel is injected into the input channels of cylinders from above of inlet valves. Fuel injectors work in pairs. Injectors of N1 and 2 cylinders work at the same time, just as injectors of N3 and 4 cylinders.

Duration of the electric impulse given on injectors defines amount of injectable fuel. Duration of an impulse is defined by an electronic control unit on the basis of information obtained from various sensors and valves (see rice. Multipoint system of injection of Multec (MW) fuel – model C 14 SE).

Information from a potentiometer of a butterfly valve is used for fuel interruption in supply.

Speed of idling is not subject to adjustment.

The installed catalytic converter serves for decrease in toxicity of exhausts.

MULTEC–S

The main difference of this system from the MW system is in other arrangement of elements, and also that each of injectors works individually, in turn, injecting fuel before opening of the inlet valve at once.

In system the sensor of detonation combustion of fuel is also installed.

MOTRONIC

Elements of system of injection of Motronic M 1.5 fuel

1 – air stream sensor;
2 – the sensor of temperature of the arriving air;
3 – sensor of provision of a butterfly valve;
4 – valve of system of idling;

Elements of system of injection of Motronic M 2.5 fuel


1 – an electronic control unit (on the right wall of salon under an instrument guard);
2 – air stream sensor;
3 – fuel pressure regulator;
4 – case of a butterfly valve;
5 – ventilating valve of the fuel tank;
6 – casing of wires of system of injection of fuel;
7 – sensor of temperature of cooling liquid;
8 – sensor of detonation combustion of fuel;
9 – valve of system of idling;
10 – sensor of provision/speed of rotation of a bent shaft

This system exists in three versions depending on model. The system of injection of fuel is controlled by a control system of operation of the Motronic engine.

Fuel comes from the fuel tank located behind via the fuel filter and the regulator of pressure to a fuel collector. Surplus of fuel comes back via the regulator to the fuel tank. The fuel collector serves as the tank for four injectors of fuel. Fuel is injected into the input channels of cylinders from above of inlet valves. On the models C 20 NE injectors receive an electric boost once for one turn of a bent shaft, injecting fuel everything at the same time. Injectors work at the models C 20 XE consistently and each of injectors receives an individual boost.

Duration of the electric impulse given on injectors defines amount of injectable fuel. Duration of an impulse is defined by Motronic electronic control unit on the basis of information obtained from various sensors and valves (see rice. The installed catalytic converter serves for decrease in toxicity of exhausts.

All engines have to use only unleaded gasoline. As use of ethylated gasoline will lead to damage of the catalytic converter.

SIMTEC

This power supply system is similar to the Motronic system. However in it electric sensors and drives, than mechanical are more used.

The system includes electronic system of injection of Microprocessor Spark Timing System, inductive triggered fuel (or MSTS-i) that means lack of the mechanical distributor of ignition. The electronic control unit obtains and sends information to various sensors and solenoids.

In version 56.1 injectors and the fuel pump cope by means of the relay.

On the engine the system of recirculation of exhaust gases and system of an additional admission of air is also installed.

In this system, as well as on other systems, the catalytic converter therefore it is necessary to use only unleaded gasoline is used.
