3.1.5. Cover of a head of cylinders


1. Disconnect ventilating hoses (a photo at the left) from a cover of a head of cylinders (a photo on the right).
2. Unscrew all bolts from a cover and remove the clips and arms withheld by these bolts.
3. Uncover a head. If the cover sits too rigidly, slightly to a postukayta on it the wooden hammer. Remove old laying.


1. Before installation, examine an internal surface of a cover on existence of oil deposits or other pollution. Check a condition of the ventilating filter located in a cover. If necessary replace the filter. Clean a cover and the filter by means of water-soluble solvent and let's them dry out.
2. Check a condition of laying and if necessary replace it. On some models laying is established in a special fillet. Pith laying needs to be replaced every time.
3. Carefully clean the joined surfaces of a cover and a head of cylinders.
4. Put on a cover a head of cylinders.
5. Insert fixing bolts and establish the clips and arms removed earlier under their heads. Tighten bolts till the required inhaling moments.
6. Connect ventilating hoses.
