3.1.13. Asterisk of a bent shaft

Removal

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Remove external covers of a gas-distributing belt and install the N1 piston in VMT.
2. Remove a pulley of a bent shaft.
3. In the C18 NZ and C models 20 NE, unscrew a bolt of an asterisk of a bent shaft. To prevent rotation of a bent shaft, remove a starter and stop a flywheel by means of the big screw-driver.
4. Weaken a tension of a gas-distributing belt and remove it.
5. Remove an asterisk of a bent shaft.
6. Take a spline (a photo at the left) and a washer (a photo on the right) from a bent shaft.

Installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. In models of 1,4 l and 1,6 l insert a spline into a groove of a bent shaft and put on an asterisk together with an adjusting flange.
2. In the models C 18 NZ and C 20 NE, dress a washer, insert a spline and establish an asterisk. Tighten a new bolt till the required inhaling moment.
3. Put on a gas-distributing belt.
4. Put on a pulley of a bent shaft.
5. Adjust a tension of a belt and establish external covers of a belt.
