10.6. Brake overlays of forward brakes

GENERAL INFORMATION

Prevention

Observe precautionary measures during the work with asbestos dust. Always replace brake slips on both wheels at the same time.


Sockets of connection of the sensor of wear of brake slips (and the ABS sensor) under a wheel niche

Connection sockets – are specified by shooters.

Removal

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Lift the car and install it on support.
2. If it is necessary, remove the sensor of wear of slips from an internal slip and disconnect the connection socket.
3. Remove a fixing clip of a slip from outer side of a support.
4. Remove caps of fingers from the inside of a support.
5. Turn off bolts of fingers.
6. Remove a support and an internal slip from an arm. Remove an external brake slip.
7. Remove an internal brake slip from the support piston.

Installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Clear a support of a brake and a brake disk.
2. For installation of new slips the piston needs to be lowered deep into a support.
3. Check that cuts on the piston were located vertically. If it is necessary, accurately turn the piston.
4. Grease with brake lubricant contact surfaces of new slips.
5. Establish an internal and external brake slip.
6. Establish a brake support on an arm and tighten bolts of fingers till the required inhaling moment. Establish into place caps of fingers.
7. Establish a fixing clip of slips.
8. If it is necessary, install the new sensor of wear and connect the connection socket.
