10:12. Wheel cylinder of a back brake

GENERAL INFORMATION

Elements of the wheel cylinder of a back brake

1 – dustproof cap;
2 – pumping valve;
3 – cylinder;
4 – consolidation;
5 – piston;
6 – consolidation of the piston;
7 – spring

Removal

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Remove the brake drum.
2. Disconnect the top returnable spring from blocks and part blocks in the parties.
3. Close hermetically polyethylene film a mouth of a tank of brake fluid.
4. Turn off a nut of connection of a brake tube and disconnect it.
5. Turn off two fixing bolts and remove the wheel cylinder.

Partition

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Clear the wheel cylinder and remove rubber dustproof covers from the ends of the cylinder.
2. Pistons have to leave if is not present – squeeze out them compressed air.
3. Examine pistons and walls of the cylinder on existence of scratches or wear tracks. Replace the wheel cylinder if it is necessary.
4. Get the repair kit containing all elements which need to be replaced.
5. Grease consolidations of pistons with brake fluid and install them in the cylinder, having inserted between them springs.
6. Dip pistons in brake fluid and insert them into the cylinder.
7. Establish dustproof covers.

Installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Install the wheel cylinder on a guard of a brake and tighten fixing bolts.
2. Connect a brake tube and tighten a connection nut.
3. Press blocks to pistons and connect the top returnable spring.
4. Install the brake drum. Adjust the brake mechanism, having squeezed out a brake pedal several times.
