10:10. Brake shoes of back brakes

GENERAL INFORMATION

Prevention

Always replace brake shoes on both back wheels at the same time.


Removal

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Remove the brake drum and clear a drum and blocks of dust and dirt.
2. Remove pins, clamping springs and caps, having pressed caps and having turned them on 90 ° by means of flat-nose pliers. Remove pins from a reverse side of a guard of a brake.
3. Disconnect a rope of the emergency brake from the lever.
4. Disconnect the top and lower returnable spring and remove brake shoes.
5. Put on a thick elastic band the wheel cylinder that pistons did not go out of the cylinder.

Installation

PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Clear a brake guard of dirt and dust and grease the sites of a guard concerning brake shoes, lubricant for brakes.
2. Disconnect blocks, regulators and springs.
3. Sort and clear regulators of the right brake (the thermoclip – is specified by an arrow). Grease a regulator carving with silicone lubricant. When replacing brake shoes it is also necessary to replace a thermoclip on the regulator.
4. Examine returnable springs on existence of deformation, wear tracks or damages and replace them if it is necessary.
5. Collect new blocks, springs and the regulator.
6. Establish blocks on a brake guard. Establish pins, clamping springs and caps.
7. Connect a rope of the emergency brake and establish a nave if it is necessary.
8. Check correctness of installation of all elements and install the brake drum.
9. Replace brake shoes on other wheel.
10. Adjust the brake mechanism, having squeezed out a brake pedal more than 15 times.
